Gutter brightening is the removal of the black streaks that appear on the exterior face of gutters over time. These streaks are caused by electrostatic bonding between oxidized aluminum and roof runoff — regular washing doesn't remove them. Brightening uses a specialized cleaning solution to break down the bond and restore the gutter face to its original color. It's not required for function, but dramatically improves the appearance of your home's roofline.

If a downspout has a structural issue — a crush, a disconnected elbow, or a buried drain that's backed up — we'll identify it and let you know. Clearing the clog is included; structural repairs are separate.
